Crystal Smith RN, BN, GradCert(CritCareNurs), GradCert(ChnNurs), M.Ed, has been working in clinical and tertiary settings for over 15 years. She has a range of experience in both Adult and Paediatric Critical Care areas including in Adult Intensive Care, Organ and Tissue Donation, Paediatric Emergency, General Paediatrics, Day Surgery and Nursing Education. Crystal has also been a member of Clinical Emergency Response System (CERS) teams, including a road-based retrieval team and has also been a representative on CERS committees, which promoted changes for the protocols and education of Paediatric CERS. She has experience in developing and implementing educational programs for protocol and policy changes and has been involved in a variety of special interest groups.
Crystal was a DETECT Junior and Resus 4 Kids Super-Trainer, and has instructed in low- and high-fidelity simulation courses. She has also been a site co-ordinator for an international research study into the impact of nursing on paediatric patient satisfaction (PINS). Crystal has also taught in Bachelor of Nursing subjects, and facilitated post-graduate subjects in a recognised Clinical Accreditation Program.View Team List
